SKI PASS
Some useful information
*The use of the lifts and magic
carpets in the ESF snow gardens is free for our clients, but ONLY during
their lessons with the ESF. There are three free lifts for beginners in the
resort (Manessier, Clarines
I and Dahu) which can be used without a lift pass.
*Children under 5 and seniors over
75 can ski free in La Rosière BUT they must still have a lift
pass, which can be obtained at the Lift Pass Office. You must show proof of
age for the free pass, and a photo is needed for passes over 2 days duration.
*Passes with a duration of 4 days
or more are automatically valid for the whole of the San Bernardo ski area (La Rosière
and La Thuile).
*The ESF offers a special 1 Star lift pass package
(only for children on the 1 Star course).
This lift pass package is cheaper than a normal child’s six-day lift pass,
BUT if you qualify for a Family Ski Pass
then this option is possibly better for you (see the Lift Pass Office website
for details of the Family
Ski Pass).
*Children in the Piou Piou course will not need a lift pass
for their lessons.
*You will not need a lift pass on the first day of the following courses:
- adult ski beginners
- beginner snowboarders
- children on the Teddy Bear and Snowflake courses
Your instructor will tell you after the lesson if you will need a lift pass
for the following day, depending on the group’s progress and the weather
conditions.
*You will need a lift pass from the very first day of lessons for
the following courses:
- Children in 1 Star and above
- Adults in Lower Intermediate and above
- Intermediate, Advanced and Expert level snowboard
- Too Kool for School, Performance and Expert
courses
- The slalom tests: Flèche, Chamois and KL
- Heliskiing: ask your guide which lift pass you
will need for your chosen drop
- Cross country skiing (Cross country lift pass)
*Carré Neige Insurance
When you buy your lift pass you can also add Carré Neige insurance.
This covers you for:
Search and rescue costs
Emergency transport costs (e.g. helicopter, piste
security sledge), repatriation costs
Reimbursement of your lift pass in case of accident
Loss of lift pass: reimbursement of the second lift pass bought (minus one
day) Reimbursement of ski
lessons in case of accident or illness
